DGP Selection: Chhattisgarh government has sent three names to the panel UPSC for the new Director General of Police i.e. DGP of Chhattisgarh. Obviously, DGP will be final from these three names only. The tenure of DGP Ashok Juneja will end on 5 February 2025. Therefore, Vishnudev government will have to announce the name of the new DGP by the evening of 5th February. This means that Chhattisgarh Police will get a new boss in the next 55 days.DGP Selection: Raipur. Chhattisgarh government has sent a panel of three names for the new DGP to the Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC. These include 92 batch IPS Pawandev and Arundev Gautam and 94 batch IPS Himanshu Gupta. However, there were five names in the notesheet. The names of IPS SRP Kalluri and IPS Pradeep Gupta were also proposed. But later a panel of three names was finalized.
